Missions Ministry

Claudia Maddux – Department Head

The theme of our Christian Life Assembly is “Touching God’s Heart, Touching Our World”. We have been a mission’s minded church since day one. Our heart is to make Christ’s last command our first priority: "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature”.

We support over 53 missionaries on a monthly basis all around the world. We also host guest missionary speakers once a month to bring us up-to-date news as to what’s happening in their part of the world. We hold an annual Missions Convention where we focus on missions with guest speakers and renew our missions pledges each year. We also support missions projects as needs arise, as well as helping support people from our church who do short-term trips.

We host missions trips to countries such as: several to Romania; Kenya; Peru; Thailand.

And to many countries with Project Compassion.

Pastor Bob founded a medical missions ministry in 1992 called Project Compassion and God sent a wonderful couple in our church to head up this ministry, Jack and Cyndi Bradbury. Today it has grown way beyond our church walls, and stands on its own, with thousands of doctors, nurses, pharmacists, counselors, helping hands, being involved from many denominational backgrounds. They sponsor six trips a year to countries around the world, linking with the local missionaries on sight. You can check it out at www.projectcompassion.org.

My heart beats for missions and to date, I’ve been to over 73 countries doing everything from Photo shoots for “Book of Hope” (Nigerian, Brazilian, & Vietnamese versions); Worship Seminars; Leadership training & crusades with Pastor Bob; Building Project trips; Project Compassion; Book of Hope distributions; singing in churches; Prayer Journey’s and even some R & R.
