For those desiring to make Christian Life Assembly their home we have designed the Discovery Series to help you discover what our church is all about, but more importantly what the Christian Life is all about.

DS 101 Discovering CLA (Membership)

Often when people begin to attend a new church they are filled with questions concerning its vision and goals. We have provided this course as a way for you to “get to know us”. The sessions are taught by our senior pastor, Bob Maddux. Throughout these classes you’ll come to understand how our church began, the philosophy of our leaders and our vision. You’ll also find out about our staff and leadership and the significant roles they play here at Christian Life Assembly.

DS 201 Discovering a New Life

It’s amazing to discover how many of us in God’s family are unfamiliar with some of the foundational principles of the Christian Life. This course introduces the student to the foundational principles of the Christian life. It covers topics such as Prayer, Worship, Stewardship, and Bible Study. Even if you think “you’ve been there done that” this is a great course to renew your passion for God and find the skills that will allow you to maintain a solid Christian Walk.

DS 301 Discovering Exceptional Living

As Christians we are called to shine as lights in a dark world. To do this we must develop the nature and character of Christ within us. The key to this is the release of the Gifts of God’s Sprit in our lives. God has given each believer the opportunity to develop what is known as the Fruit of The Spirit. These graces such as love, joy, peace, etc. are explored with instruction on how each of us can cultivate these essential Christian qualities in our daily living. This course not only explores these qualities but also challenges and equips you to use them.

DS 401 Discovering Power for the Journey

We designed these classes to acquaint you with the great potential that God has provided us with to speak to our world through the “Gifts Of The Spirit”. This course explains the unique place these Gifts of The Spirit play in the believer’s life and teaches the different ways that God uses these gifts to build up His Church and reveal His presence to the world around us. Learn how you can see these Gifts released in your life and experience a new dimension of the Holy Spirit.

DS 501 Discovering Your Purpose

Finding where God has created you to serve and giving your life to work there, is the most rewarding dimension of life. Jesus put it this way, the greatest in the kingdom is that one who is the servant of all. This class explores the principles of Christian service, opportunities for service at CLA and practical guidelines on how to develop your unique spiritual giftings.

~ DS 101 is a 4 hour course taught in either one or two sessions. All other courses are taught in six week sessions on Sunday mornings.
